Sheryl and Will were amazing to work with! They love each other…. really really love each other! There was just something different about them. You could honestly see that this day wasn’t just about a wedding to them… it was fully about the commitment they were making together. Their ceremony pictures make me tear up – EVERY TIME! They looked at each other as if no one else was there on that beach but themselves. It was just about them, and their love, and their commitment. It was so beautiful. You can see in the pictures that they were just covered in joy and happiness. It was such a blessing to be apart of such a beautiful day! Sheryl and Will… you are two of the happiest people I have ever met. Thank you for letting us be a part of your day!
Pure Love…

Meet my dear friend… Amy Plew
Amy is one of my good friends. We met in Bluffton, about a year and a half ago. She was my backyard neighbor! And she is a crafter! It was so much fun living right there beside her!
Jarod and Amy tried to have kids for several years. Amy was told that it was unlikely that she would be able to bear a child. So Amy and Jarod adopted the sweetest (funniest) little boy – Jesse. Their adoption process took a while to complete – about 2 years, but the minute it did… Amy was growing a baby iside her belly! God is amazing… and is always so mysterious. Its so neat to hear about these stories. I think its so cool that sometimes God says no, only because he wants something even better for us. Now they are blessed with 2 amazing little boys! Jesse and Michah.
I’ve never met anyone like Jesse. When we were visiting them to snap some photos Jesse was beat boxing for me…. “Mm psh, mm mm psh, mm psh, mm SKETI” Yup… this little 4 year old can beat box. He comes up with the craziest stuff! He never fails to make everyone around him laugh… hard!
And Michah… he is so precious… and knowing Amy’s story he was just even more precious. He just looks like a little angel. And you look at him and you cant help but think…. miracle. I had so much fun taking pictures of this little guy.
Anyhow… I leave you with Amy’s maternity pictures, followed by Michah’s infant session. We love you Plew Family!
- Aw...my favorites are definitely the ones of Micah yawning in the basket covered by the blankets...too cute!July 28, 2010 - 2:01 pm

Puerto Rico stole our heart….

So I miserably failed on the Giveaway! I totally forgot to announce the winner while packing for our Mission trip to Puerto Rico. Please Please forgive me! And Im sorry to keep you waiting!
Drumroll….
Nicole Crook, you are the winner! We have to get busy! Luckily you live here, so we don’t have to go about everything by email! I can actually come to your home! I will post before and after pictures once the makeover is done! Im so excited!
Our trip was amazing! I have never seen anything so beautiful! Puerto Rico is about 75% mountains. So no matter where you are standing or looking, you will see them! Its breathtaking!
The majority of our time was spent putting on Vacation Bible School for some kiddos. They were too cute, and i just fell in love with each one of them! At the end of the week many of the kids made decisions for Christ. God is awesome!

Meet Alesha. We became great friends on the trip! She was the only older girl at VBS so she really didnt have anyone to hang out with. Even though I can hardly speak Spanish, and she could hardly speak English we had a good time! Jose (to the right) was the bus driver for the team. He was so awesome!

The food was amazing. We didnt try the meat all week (We are pescitarians) but we ate the rice UP! YUMMMO!

Landon, David (Landon’s Dad), and myself drove down to Rex’s Cream several times for a cup of Ice cream. It was fantastic. Apparently they use the same machines that are used for making Gelato in Italy. We were told it was very comparable to authentic Italian Gelato! Puerto Rico is stinkin HOT! If you think you know humidity… you know nothing! My hair was completely uncontrollable… I gave up after the second day! Needless to say, Ice cream was such a wonderful treat while in Puerto Rico!

Toward the end of the week, all of the VBS kids put on a little concert at a community center around the corner from the church. The children sang, and then a Christian band played for a while (they were awesome!). It was cool because a lot of the community came out to see everything!

The entire week, we stayed with this sweet couple – Glorimar and Edgardo. It was really awesome staying with people who lived there in Puerto Rico.

This is their Dog- Gordy (which means fatty in English)
WE liked him!

Glorimar made us Puerto Rican Coffee every morning – the Bomb Diggity! It was sooo good!

Glorimar taught me how to make a few Puerto Rican Dishes – She is an incredible cook! And one morning I helped her cook some Pancakes!

Ohh and this is where we picked up most of our groceries! Wouldn’t you like shopping at this Walmart everyday? Beautiful!

On Saturday morning, Glorimar and Edgardo took us to see Old San Juan. Edgardo was our tour guide! The place is full of historic Charm. It is the most beautiful place I have ever seen. Pure Art.

Tons of pigeons hung out in this special little area. You could stand right in the middle of them! reminded me of “Home Alone”

All week we munched on a Puerto Rican snack called Limber. It is basically frozen juice. People sell it out of their homes all over the island. Jose, the bus driver, explained that it is kinda like a lemonade stand, but for adults. I loved this stuff!

while we are in Old San Juan, I snagged a few shots of Glorimar and Edgardo… i just couldn’t help myself…. ![]()

Later that night, after we showered away the humidity, Glorimar and Edgardo took us back to old San Juan to share a meal at an authentic Peurto Rican Resturaunt. It was so delicioso! We both had Mofungo – which seems to be Peurto Rico’s most famous dish! Its made from plantains, and boy was it good!

Paola (Glorimar and Edgardo’s daughter, and a Vanessa Hudges look alike) brought along her boyfriend – Kevin. Again, I couldn’t help but grab a few pictures of the cute couple!

On our last Day, we drove up to the Rainforest. Yes, the Rainforest! It was incredible! The vegetation there is indescribable!

And just two miles over, there are beautiful beaches

So that’s a wrap up of our trip! We love Puerto Rico and CAN’T wait to go back! We are in love! How can you beat Rain Forests and BEautiful Beaches all on one small Island? It was such a blast! I highly recommend visiting Puerto Rico! It will take your breath away! I promise!
- Gorgeous pictures Jordan; what an adventure!July 27, 2010 - 1:26 pm
London and Jennifer
Their super cute wedding took place at the Westin on Hilton Head Island. London and Jennifer seemed so ready to tie that knot! They were both so excited that day- both of them were wearing huge smiles. After their ceremony and a few beach pictures, everyone made their way over to the Port Royal reception site for a lunch reception! We loved this sweet afternoon wedding! I think its such a fun time of the day to get married!
Thanks London and Jennifer for letting us take part in you big day!!
